31st October 2014 "From research to therapy for the treatment and prevention of diabetes" 

It was held on the 31st of October the seminar entitlet: "From research to therapy for the treatment and prevention of diabetes" at the Sala Maffei (Cremona Chamber of Commerce). The event was organized by the Avantea Foundation within the European project Xenoislet.

Xenoislet is a research program founded under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).  Five partners are partecipating in the program: Avantea (Italy), Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium), Glasgow Caledonia University (United Kingdom), Biotalentum Tudasfejleszto and Avidin Kutato (Hungary). The aim of the meeting was to bring the public closer to the scientific research and, in particular, to disseminate the knowledge of the current research for the cure of diabetes.[...]

How to support 

The Avantea Foundation represents a meeting point between the animal and the biomedical research and aims to transfer the knowledge generated by scientific research in farm animals in biomedicine, for the prevention and cure of human diseases. Research programs

The research activity is supported by participating in competitive calls for funds allocated to research projects. The priority of the start up phase  has been given to the development of animal models for human diseases.
