The Scientific Committee of Avantea Foundation is composed of scientists of recognised international reputation:

• Professor Sir Ian Wilmut, Director of the Center for Regenerative Medicine, University of Edinburgh. His work has shown that the genome of a differentiated cell can be reprogrammed, paving the way for cloning animals for research and breeding and giving a boost to biomedical research and regenerative medicine.
• Prof. George Seidel, distinguished Professor, Department of Biomedical Sciences and Head of Animal Reproduction and Biotechnology Laboratory at Colorado State University. His areas of research include in vitro maturation/fertilization and culture of mammalian embryos, micro-manipulation and cryopreservation of embryos and oocytes.
• Dr. Giovanna Lazzari, President of the Scientific Committee and founder of the Avantea Foundation. Scientific Director of Avantea laboratories.

Their experience will be important in supporting and monitoring the scientific research activities of the Foundation, and will provide a guarantee of high quality research to those willing to support the Foundation's mission.
